One STBU, One Chain: Stobox Token Is Live on Base

Stobox Token (STBU) is consolidating onto a single canonical contract on Base — one token, a clean 1:1 exchange, and zero migration fees. The new contract is live, verified on BaseScan, immutable, and hard-capped at 250,000,000. Holders on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Arbitrum burn their old STBU and claim the new token 1:1 from 15 September 2026. Here is what STBU is, how the migration works, and how to do it safely.

One STBU, One Chain: Stobox Token Is Live on Base

Today STBU gets simpler. Stobox Token (STBU) is consolidating onto a single canonical contract on Base — Ethereum’s leading Layer 2 — replacing the four separate deployments STBU has lived on until now. The new token is already live and verified on-chain. The exchange is 1:1, it is free beyond ordinary network gas, and the deadline to migrate is 15 September 2026. If you hold STBU on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, or Arbitrum, this post is the complete picture: what STBU is, why we are moving it to one chain, exactly how to migrate, and a full set of answers to the questions holders actually ask.

StoboxSTBU · LIVE ON BASE · MIGRATE 1:1 BY 15 SEP 2026

If you do nothing else, do this: connect at stbu.stobox.io before 15 September, burn your old STBU, and claim the new token 1:1 from that date. Everything below explains why that is safe, why it is worth doing, and how to avoid the mistakes and scams that surround any migration.

What STBU is — and what it does

Stobox Token (STBU) is the native utility and access token of the Stobox ecosystem — the infrastructure we have been building since 2018 for tokenizing and managing real-world assets (RWA). STBU is not a promise about price; it is the working token of that ecosystem, and its role is designed to deepen as the ecosystem grows. In practical terms:

  • The token of Stobox’s RWA infrastructure. STBU is the native utility and access token across the protocols Stobox builds for tokenizing, issuing, and managing real-world assets.
  • Built for agentic protocols. As Stobox extends into agentic, autonomous systems for real-world assets, STBU is the unit those protocols are designed to operate on.
  • A payment layer that scales with adoption. STBU is built to serve as a medium of payment across the ecosystem — a role that expands as more RWA assets are deployed on Stobox infrastructure.
  • Access and priority. Holding STBU unlocks tiers, priority, and benefits across the product suite.

As the ecosystem has grown into Compass, Intelligence, and the wider tokenization framework, STBU has stayed the common thread through all of it. What it has not had is a single home — and that is exactly what this migration fixes. For the fuller story behind this move — why Stobox 4 is being sunset and what the new three-product suite is — see Stobox 4 is setting, the new Stobox is rising.

Why one chain — and why Base

Until now, STBU has been spread across four blockchains. In practice that means fragmented liquidity, four contracts for holders and integrators to track, and four different sets of gas and bridging assumptions. Consolidating onto one canonical contract on Base removes that friction at the root.

Here is what changes, concretely:

  • One token, one address. No more “which STBU, on which chain?” A single contract becomes the source of truth.
  • Unified liquidity. Depth that was split four ways can pool in one place.
  • Cheaper, faster. Base is a low-fee Ethereum Layer 2, so everyday transfers cost a fraction of mainnet while inheriting Ethereum’s security.
  • Aligned with our infrastructure. Base is where the core Stobox tokenization engine already settles, so STBU now lives on the same rails as the products it powers.

To be completely clear: this is not a new token, and it is not “STBU 2.0.” It is the same STBU, the same project, and the same 1:1 value — consolidated onto better infrastructure.

How the migration works — three steps

A token can’t teleport between blockchains. To move STBU to Base without ever double-counting supply, the old token is first taken permanently out of circulation, and then the same amount is minted fresh on Base. A useful way to picture it: exchanging an old series of banknotes for a new one — the old notes are withdrawn from circulation, and you receive the exact same value in the new ones.

stobox.ioHOW THE MIGRATION WORKSThree steps, fully non-custodialYou retire your own tokens; the contract mints the new ones to you.1BurnSend old STBU to theburn address — retiredpermanently on-chain.2ConfirmStobox detects the burnon-chain and creditsyour eligible balance.3ClaimMint the same amountof new STBU on Base,1:1, to your wallet.
You retire your own tokens; the contract mints the new ones to you. Stobox never touches them.

Here is the whole process in plain language:

  1. Burn your old STBU. At the official portal, stbu.stobox.io, you send your old tokens to a burn address (0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD) — a wallet nobody owns and nobody can ever spend from. This permanently retires those tokens, and your burn transaction becomes your public on-chain receipt.
  2. Stobox confirms it automatically. The system detects your burn on-chain and credits your eligible balance. There is no form to fill in and nothing to send to anyone. Stobox never holds your tokens.
  3. Claim your new STBU on Base — 1:1. From 15 September 2026 you mint the exact same amount of brand-new STBU directly to your own wallet on Base.

The key idea is that you are not sending your tokens to Stobox. You retire your own tokens, and the public record of that burn is your ticket to claiming the new ones. Burning is what proves the tokens were yours and guarantees the same coins are never counted twice — no bridge custodian, no intermediary holding your balance in between.

If your STBU sits on an exchange or in an old Stobox 4 wallet, there is a dedicated path for each situation in the complete step-by-step migration guide.

  • Now → 15 Sep 2026: the burn window. Connect at stbu.stobox.io, burn your old STBU, and watch your eligible balance grow.
  • 15 Sep 2026, 00:00 UTC: the cutover — burning closes and claiming opens, at the same instant.
  • From 15 Sep 2026: claim your new STBU on Base, 1:1.

Because the burn deadline and the claim opening are the same instant, the simplest and safest plan is to burn early and claim on or after 15 September. Don’t leave the burn until the final hours.

What’s new — and better — about the token

The new STBU is a modern, standards-clean ERC-20 with a handful of deliberate properties that exist purely to protect holders:

  • A standard, modern token. You send, receive, hold, and trade it like any ERC-20 — full wallet and exchange compatibility.
  • Gasless approvals (Permit / EIP-2612). Apps can let you approve spending with a signature instead of a separate transaction, for a smoother experience with fewer fees.
  • Fixed, transparent supply. STBU is hard-capped at 250,000,000 forever. The only way new tokens are ever created is a verified 1:1 migration claim — there is no hidden minting, no owner mint, and no way to raise the cap.
  • Emergency safety controls. The token can be paused in an emergency, and un-pausing requires multi-signature approval — no single person can freeze or unfreeze it alone.
  • Multi-sig governance. The contract is governed by a 2-of-3 multi-signature wallet, with the migration signer held in a hardware security module.

Every one of these is a property you can check for yourself rather than take on faith.

Questions from existing holders

Straight answers to the questions we hear most often. Tap any question to expand it.

Do I actually lose anything? Is it really 1:1?

The exchange is exactly one-to-one — one old STBU becomes one new STBU, with nothing skimmed in between. The only cost is the ordinary network gas for your own burn and claim transactions, which you pay to the network, not to Stobox.

Does migrating cost a fee?

There is no migration fee. Anyone telling you there is a “fee,” an “activation payment,” or an “unlock cost” to migrate is running a scam. The only thing you ever pay is standard blockchain gas.

Which chains can I migrate from?

Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Arbitrum. All four consolidate into the single canonical STBU contract on Base.

What exactly happens to my old STBU?

It is burned — permanently retired by sending it to a public burn address (0x…dEaD) that no one controls and no one can ever spend from. That burn is recorded on-chain forever and serves as your receipt. Your old tokens are not resold, reused, or held by anyone.

Is Stobox ever holding my tokens?

No. The migration is non-custodial from end to end. You burn your own tokens from your own wallet, and the new contract mints fresh STBU straight to that same wallet when you claim. At no point does Stobox take custody of your balance.

What do I need before I start?

Three things: a self-custody wallet that holds your STBU; a small amount of the native gas token on the chain you’re burning from (for the burn transaction); and a little ETH on Base to cover the claim transaction later. That’s it.

My STBU is on an exchange or in a liquidity pool. What do I do?

You can only burn tokens that sit in a wallet you personally control. If your STBU is on a centralized exchange or committed to a liquidity pool or another on-chain position, move it back into your own wallet first, then migrate from there. When in doubt, check the official portal and channels for current guidance before acting.

When and where do I claim?

From 15 September 2026, 00:00 UTC, on Base, at stbu.stobox.io. You mint the same amount you burned, 1:1, to your own wallet.

What if I miss the 15 September deadline?

The burn window closes at 15 September 2026, 00:00 UTC. The safest approach is to burn well before then — don’t leave it to the last hours. Migrate early so a busy network or a small mistake never costs you the deadline.

Do I need to sell my STBU and buy it again?

No. This is a migration, not a market transaction. You are not selling, swapping, or trading — you are moving the same value from four old contracts to one new one, 1:1.

Will the name or symbol change? Is this “STBU 2.0”?

No. It stays Stobox Token (STBU) — the same token and the same project, with full 1:1 continuity. There is no “V2,” no rebrand, and no reset of your holdings.

Can the team mint more tokens or change the rules later?

No. The contract is immutable — it cannot be upgraded and has no owner-mint function. Supply is hard-capped at 250,000,000, the only way tokens are ever created is a verified 1:1 migration claim, and control sits behind a 2-of-3 multi-signature wallet. The emergency pause exists only for safety, and un-pausing itself requires multi-sig approval.

How do I make sure I’m not being scammed?

Only ever migrate at stbu.stobox.io — bookmark it and use the bookmark. Always confirm the contract address matches the one above. Stobox will never DM you first and will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. See the box below.

Where do I get help if something looks wrong?

Use only the official channels linked at the end of this post. Do not act on migration instructions that arrive by unsolicited DM, email, or a link someone sends you.
